17.3 Trillion Dollars and Growing and a talent of gold.

Our national debt has become so large that it is literally impossible to pay off. Here are some interesting facts. If you started to count one number every second or 1 dollar a second , how long do you think it would take to reach 17.3 trillion? 60 seconds in a minute = 60 x 60 minutes in a hour = 360 x 24 hours in a day = 8,640  x 365 days in a year = 3,153,600 x 10,000 years = 315,360,000,000. You have now reached 1/3 of a trillion almost but who’s counting. So it would take 30,000 years to reach 1 trillion x17.3 trillion = 519,000 years. This is not factoring in any interest but there is another problem, we would be paying off 8,640 dollars in a day but according to the national debt clock we are going in debt at the rate of 1 million dollars a minute.  (      http://www.usdebtclock.org/   )  And yet man keeps putting his trust in the dollar rather than God, the one who created everything.

Here is an interesting fact about the talent which in King David’s time equaled 75 pounds. The crown that he wore weighed a talent of gold, And you thought he was a little shepherd boy. Try walking around with 75 pounds on your head. At the price of gold today around 1250 an ounce the gold in it would be worth 1 1/2 million dollars. And we owe 17.3 trillion. Have a great day.
