Defenders of the Faith

Defenders of the Faith

In James Reston’s book, Defenders of the Faith: Charles V, Suleyman the Magnificent, and the Battle for Europe, 1520-1536, a book I highly recommend, he describes in detail the various battles of the Ottoman Empire (Muslim) and the European Empire (Christian). Suleyman had determined that he would expand the Ottoman Empire and planned his siege during the time when the church was going through a mighty upheaval from the likes on a little known monk named Martin Luther, while the Roman Church was loosing revenue from what Luther was preaching. Mean while Francis of France was trying to move his standings with his eye on Charles’s title as the Emperor of Europe, Henry the eighth was trying to get a divorce from Catherine so he could marry Anne Boleyn. You probably have read the old poem about him, “King Henry the Eighth, to six wives he was wedded. One died, one survived, two divorced, two beheaded.” The king and queen of Spain, Ferdinand and Isabella, were starting to focus there attention on the ”new world” and were starting to reap rivers of gold coming out of Mexico and were planning Peru as the next endeavor. So Suleyman the Magnificent moved his army towards Vienna as the Europeans squabbled among themselves and as he did numerous small towns just met him and surrendered the keys to their cities after looking at his impressive army of well over one hundred thousand soldiers, until he came upon a little town called Güns. Here a determined one thousand defenders stood off the mighty onslaught for three and one half weeks until a truce was worked out after the Ottomans saw St Martin on a horse with a flaming sword in the sky. Watch this You Tube video:

After that Suleyman moved his attention to eastern Persia to confront his own type of Martin Luther, the Shiites. The Ottoman spirit is still wanting to destroy the church of Jesus Christ with the likes of various terrorist acts but has found a far better method of accomplishing their goal and this is evident  as you look at the streets of Europe and America. The army is now numbering not in the hundreds of thousands but in the tens of millions and is slowly and persistently marching forward on their desired path of world domination.

It is called immigration!

You wrote this back in August but I just now read it. It makes me think of a time I went in Walmart and there were so many Muslims in there that I thought I was in the wrong country.
